Just saw your post on this -- and thought I'd relay my experience.

As a dental marketer, it's quite common and acceptable for me to represent dentists on their behalf.

Several months back I submitted a client's website to the directory. Afterwards, the guy who runs the directory, Erik Cunningham, replied by telling me the site is available only to dentists -- but that he would go ahead this time and allow the listing.

I checked just now and the dentist's listing has been removed. Gee thanks Erik.

Apparently Mr. Cunningham doesn't realize that 99.99% of dentists hire someone else to market their practice and their websites. Restricting his dental directory to only dentists themselves is probably why you only see 2 listings in his entire directory.

Not only do I suspect the *** free *** listings to be just a hook to solicit Mr. Cunningham's other services, the listings expose the dentist's email address to automated email harvesters which then flood the doctor's box with spam.

Sorry -- but this directory is a poor choice for dentists -- on multiple levels.
